TK - 6 ELOP PrimeTime Summer Enrichment

PrimeTime Summer Enrichment, in partnership with current PrimeTime providers, will provide a variety of engaging and educational opportunities for current TK-6 district students. These programs include activities such as sports, art, dance, STEM, STEAM, and more, designed to foster creativity, social-emotional learning, and connecting with peers. By offering a wide range of enriching experiences, PrimeTime Summer Enrichment will empower students to explore new skills, build confidence, and enhance their academic and personal growth.

The above dates were presented to the Board of Education on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025.

​​​The California Department of Education has recently designated SDUSD as a Rate 1 district under the Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). This new status provides universal access to all interested students currently enrolled in the San Diego Unified School District inin grades TK-6 who apply during the initial application window.

Not Eligible:

  • Students enrolled in Charter Schools and/or outside of San Diego Unified School District are not eligible for our Summer Programs.

  • Students planning to enroll in the 2026-2027 school year are not eligible to participate.

  • Students participating in the State Pre-School Program are not eligible to participate.

Dates for the 2026 PrimeTime Summer Program

​

  • Session 1: Summer Academic Morning Program and Summer Afternoon PrimeTime Program on 52 open sites for 20 days:

    • Thursday, June 4th - Thursday, July 2nd; no school Friday, June 19th. (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

  • Summer Afternoon PrimeTime Program (12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) 

  • Session 2: Summer PrimeTime Enrichment on 52 open sites for 10 days

    • July 6th through July 17th

    • 8:00AM - 5:00PM

TK-6 Enrollment Window Opens: ​Monday, March 23rd, 2026 beginning at 8:00AM PST

TK-6 Enrollment Window Closes: Friday, March 27th, 2026 at 5:00PM PST​​​

WHO is eligible to enroll?

  • All currently enrolled TK-6 district students are eligible due to our district’s shift to a Rate 1

WHAT/WHEN: can I enroll my student in during this enrollment window?

  • Session 1: Summer Academic Morning Program and Summer Afternoon PrimeTime Program on 52 open sites for 20 days (June 4th - July 2nd):

  • Summer Academic Morning Program (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

  • Summer Afternoon PrimeTime Program (12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) 

  • Session 2: Summer Enrichment on 52 open sites for 10 days

    • July 6th through July 17th

    • 8:00AM - 5:00PM

WHERE: can my student participate in summer programming?

  • Select sites have been opened in each cluster. 

  • In the Transact application, parents will select their site preference of the open Summer location.

HOW do I enroll my eligible student during this enrollment window?

  • Primary Parent/Guardian listed in PowerSchool will receive one enrollment link via text message and/or email per eligible student to initiate enrollment on Monday, March 23rd

  • Ensure your student’s PowerSchool account is current with the primary contact’s email and cell phone number in the first field.

  • Click on the student specific enrollment link (emailed and texted to primary parent/guardian's information) during the Enrollment Window:  

    • Opens: Monday, March 23rd, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. 

    • Closes: Friday, March 27th, 2026, at 5:00  p.m.
